起源 Origin

小烛树蜡是从小烛树中提取出来的一种天然生物蜡。小烛树野生在墨西哥北部、美国南部德克萨斯州等海拔1000-2000m高原上。这些地区温度变化大，夏季高达45℃,冬季低至-20℃。同时降雨量少，气候干旱。长年的进化结果使得小烛树分泌形成一层蜡质覆盖于体表，自我保护以适应此严酷的自然环境。

Candelilla wax is a natural organic wax extracted from the candelilla tree. Candelilla grows wild in northern Mexico, southern Texas and other highland areas at altitudes of 1000-2000m. Temperatures in these areas vary greatly, from as high as 45℃ in summer to as low as -20℃ in winter. Rainfall is also low and the climate is arid. As a result of long years of evolution, the tree secretes a layer of wax to cover its body and protect it from the harsh natural environment.

组成 Component

小烛树蜡的组成与其它天然生物蜡不同，通常含有40-50%的碳水化合物，另外还含有多种树脂。

特性 Characteristics
